WALK-IN vaccination will be allowed at certain Covid-19 vaccination centres (PPV) in the Klang Valley in early August, said Khairy Jamaluddin. The coordinating minister for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme said walk-ins will be allowed once the surge capacity operation is completed on August 1. On July 16, Khairy had said that under the surge capacity operation, Putrajaya would ensure that every adult resident of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur aged 18 and above will receive at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine by August 1. “We will open according to category first,” he said in a press conference today. On August 2, he said walk-ins will be allowed for those aged above 40 and with comorbidities. Walk-in will be opened for those aged above 18 on August 5. “The list of PPVs that will be accepting walk-ins in the Klang Valley will be issued by today,” he said. Procedures for the walk-in will also be announced shortly.
He stressed that not all PPVs will be conducting walk-in vaccination.
